Tips to Prepare Your Home for the Photo Shoot
- Have the lawns mowed, leaves raked, bushes trimmed.
- When in season, flowers can add a gorgeous pop of color.
- Remove all vehicles from the driveway and front of the house.
- All garbage cans, hoses and garden tools are put away.
- Check all lights and change dim or broken bulbs.
- Remove any “cute” yard decorations that may be out.
- Remove any “clutter” from inside the home.
- Put away toys, clothing, hampers, dishes, towels etc.
- Make the beds.
- Bathroom and kitchen counters should be empty and clean.
- Make sure the kitchen sink is empty.
- Hide the trash cans.
- Remove/hide personal photos.
- Remove/hide any pet beds, water/food bowls, toys, etc.
- Remove/hide any decorations or magnets from the fridge.
- Turn on all lights.
- Open all blinds in rooms to be photographed.
- If needed, shovel snow from walkways, driveways and patios.
- If there’s a pool, take down security gate, uncover and clean.
- Put all of the toilet seats and lids down.
